As I rode out today, I could not help but notice the thick opaque air that is settling on the roads.   Maybe they do not damage our lungs and our health.

I got tired of posting because nothing happens, but we have to make people be aware of the problem.  I would not like to use the world hopefully.  So we can only hope or pray.  There is no money here as with PDAF or DAP.  So no one is interested.   WIFM is an important station - What is It For Me, and we are not tuned to that, everything is neglected.

What is the cause of persistent coughing and itchy throat?

My spouse is complaining of itchy throat and persistent coughing.  I said the cause could be the pollution from the tricycles and jeepneys passing by.  Air used to be clean at Morong where she currently works.  Morong  is populated by several thousand tricycles and maybe a good third of them are spewing pollutants.

I biked to Morong Rizal today and these are the views that greeting me at past 7.   Pollution is  all around.  

                                    Is burning straw/rice husk air pollution?

There seems to be no local enforcement of clean air act despite the law's provision saying so!



I posted here that the best way to catch the air polluters would be to watch them as they go up hills, or when the vehicle is loaded.  I therefore stood near Namay in Morong Rizal to watch the exhaust of tricycles going uphill and this came as a surprise:

                                  A picture is worth a thousand words

                          This  is the reason why air pollution contagion is spreading to Morong?

                              How much pollutants is this tricycle spewing in a day?

                                    How many tricycles are like these?

                       Is this unique to Namay or is this repeated so many x elsewhere in the country?

                                   I am running out of SD space to record these violators

                     From the market (2km away) to its destination this trike is spreading pollutants!
