This tricycle is the site mascot - it says all!

I hope he does not have open muffler (it is an open muffler) and that it does not belch smoke (the muffler tip is wet with oil - bet I does).  I hope the driver lives long and does not fall prey to his warning

Sources of Air Pollution

Rizal Philippines  |  April 18, 2013

That is why ADB wants to replace these trikes with E trikes

I did another study of air pollution this time inland, at the streets.   The source of hazy and polluted air are numerous. May be we can minimize stop some of them?

The smoking elf is owned by the local government

The little bonfire at the curb is prohibited under CAA

The smoldering drum can block the airways

Our ambition is to stop smoke belching, lessen air pollution

More bonfires, so that the mango will bear fruits

Bonfire smoke can cause mango to fruit and add to pollution levels
A lot of haze early in the morning (from smoke belchers?)

Like a squid inland spewing black smoke/ink?

The engine is leaking oil into the exhaust? You can become teary eyed when you ride this jeepney

                                   Rust colored horizon

Air Pollution is the reason why a grandma died as soon as she got back from US

I visited a grandmother in the 1990s in the US. And as soon as I saw her, she said she wanted to go home and I thought she was kidding.  But when it was time for me to go, she clung to me begging that she join me in going home.   Of course that was not possible.

She was able to come home some 2 weeks after.  But she died two months later of lung cancer. I was wondering then how come she died so quickly.

I now know why;   the fumes from the tricycles may be was the culprit.
