10 most polluted cities in the world; Metro Manila is not one of them?

Here is a video of the 10 most polluted cities in the world.  To give you an idea, NY would have have a count of 21 micrograms (TSP - Total Suspended Particles), MM would have about a 106 as of 3rd Quarter of 2012.  (Is this correct) The count in most of these cities is 200+.  Are we happy?

Or should we have TSP of only 2 digits?

But we should really measure the level of air pollution in MM - accurately

Product vs air pollution

Here is a video about the use of a product to lessen air pollution.  I do not endorse the product but we should do all steps to combat air pollution or smoke belching.

In my belief that these products would help stop pollution, I became a dealer of a motor oil additive. but you can not a make an internal combustion engine clean.  You have to move away from fossil fuel to reduce emission/pollution.

I had a nice name, a green name for the product.

Suggestions:

l.  Stop junk vehicles from running MM street;

2.  Use these additives to combat smoke and have more efficient engines;

3.  Stricter smoke emission tests;  close down dishonest test centers.

How public transport contribute to air pollution

The public transport system in the PHL which include tricycles, buses, and jeepneys contribute to air pollution in Metro Manila.  Most factories and polluting industries have closed shops.  There are about a quarter of a million motor vehicles contributing about a million tons of pollutants into the atmosphere in MM.  A good quarter of that comes from tricycles.  That is why ADB is working hard on e trikes.

Manila air quality on Friday morning at EDSA

The video coincides with my pictures taken from my hometown some  15 km from EDSA.  I think it is bad.  It has not improved as what DENR describes it to be.

There seems to be little interest in this subject matter as there are little research, videos, slideshare made on the subject.

It think people should be made aware of the dangers to the health posed by the "grabeng" air pollution
