A post from Dr. Mercola archives | May 15, 2013
A recent Dr. Mercola article links air pollution, plastics, and home care products to toxins in the body. And of the three, air pollution is singled out as linked to heart disease. A Euro Prevent 2013 article links calcification and exposure to air pollution among more than 4,000 subjects. Another study in the US, published in PLos, saw an increase of about .14 mm annually in thickness of carotid artery of 5,400 participants in the study aged 25 - 84 in 6 US cities. (What are those cities?)
Is this going to be true in MM; in the next 5 years we will see more people having cardio vascular diseases, not from fatty meal but from air pollution.?
That is why people who exercise who diet, and who are on statins still have strokes and heart attacks. Blame it on the smoke belching monsters on the road.
What do we still need to say?
This site would like followers and leaders to be aware of air pollution and how it impacts our lives and health. We seem to be uncaring about this growing serious problem which we know is there but we do nothing. Shall we wait for air pollution to be as serious as in Beijing? When do we act?
