Meeting pollution standards could save California about $28 billion in health care costs, school absences, lost time in work from premature death due to air pollution.
In 2006, 252l died in the area of San Joaquin Valley and South Coast Air Basin, as noted by California Highway Patrol (CHiPs) Whereas 3812 died from respiratory diseases attributed to respiratory illnesses caused by particulate pollution (is that referring to TSP? We still have high TSP level in MM)
Therefore, do you now agree that air pollution is lethal? Air pollution kills (And we talk about California, one the states in USA with a very stringent air pollution standards because it is smog prone!)
Air pollution is more lethal than vehicular accidents as smoking is deadlier than plane crashes
This site would like followers and leaders to be aware of air pollution and how it impacts our lives and health. We seem to be uncaring about this growing serious problem which we know is there but we do nothing. Shall we wait for air pollution to be as serious as in Beijing? When do we act? Air pollution, Metro Manila, , lung, heart, cancer, diseases, global warming, low visibility, PM 2.5, Clean Air Act, smoke belchers, climate change, super typhoons, drought, AQI
