Some sayings on believing and understanding:
"I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I experience and understand" - old Chinese saying. When you read and do not see pictures, the viewers will forget. But when they see pictures like this....will they remember?
"When the law is on your side, pound law on the table; when you have facts on your side, pound the facts on the table; when you have the opinion on your side pound the opinion on the table; when you have none; pound on the table..." from a Harvard lawyer advice to lawyers. So let us pound the pictures on the table....
Many do not see these while they sleep on a Sunday morning or will not merit a mention at a major daily because these things are not newsworthy.
I hope the pictures deliver a forceful message to the public policy sector and the private citizens to be beware.
Photo of floodway from Highway 2000 bridge looking towards Rosario and Manggahan; why is visibility so low? Camera trick?
Photo shoot from same location towards arrienda estate; looking westwards towards Laguna Lake
Looking eastward from entrance of C6; the mountains are hazy even with the sun shining
Plush residential houses amidst dark clouds of pollution in the background near C6
Can you make out the building in the background? Covered by air pollutants (PM 10 only or with PM 2.5?) At C6 near Napindan channel
View of the C6 from Napindan channel. What is that dark band on the horizon? (mirage probably?)
Arent those buildings at Bonifacio Global City? Do the residents there realize the visible air quality there at this hour? Why, despite the sunshine, the buildings cant be seen?
The C6 street lights; why is sky above dark?
View of the urban settlers and the the rich upscale buildings, equalized by air pollution. Is the air quality at your cocoons great?
View of the Napindan channel; is that the chimney of the house spewing smoke? Dirty river and dirty sky? What can I do to help make the beloved MM more fit for human living?
Looking towards Mandaluyong; what is the dark bank at the horizon? Why is it rust colored? Is this healthy for urban living?
Tele view of the chimney of the glass factory contributing white smoke to the environs
View from atop the Napindan channel bridge towards Paranaque Taguig area. What is the rust colored band at the horizon?
Do you think the Clean Air Act is enforced in this area?
Are there agents monitoring the air pollutants level?
What do you think are the PM 2.5 PM10 level? Low, Normal High? What does the public sector think/observe/believe?
