Globe joins MMDA, DENR, LTO in the "Ligtas Usok" program by offering text hotline for public to text smoke belchers. However, the texter has to pay. All that the texter has to do is text USOK 2327 and maybe text the plate number of smoke belching vehicle?
The program aims to reduce air pollution further by 30%. I hope the program can help improve air quality soon. And we hope cell phone owners will bother.
But who is the violator here? Who caused the air pollution? Who contributed to this dark clouds at BGC? How do I text the hotline about this observation? Will LTO MMDA DENR see this post?
I think they havent. I have been doing this for a year. And the MM skies still look the same.
This site would like followers and leaders to be aware of air pollution and how it impacts our lives and health. We seem to be uncaring about this growing serious problem which we know is there but we do nothing. Shall we wait for air pollution to be as serious as in Beijing? When do we act?
