I could hypothesize why affliction or inhalation of air pollutants could lead to dreaded and difficult health condition:
l. First it impacts the ABC (the triangle of life: airway, breathing, and circulation) as former first responder/rescuer, the ABC to watch in the patient victim are the ABC. In the case of air pollution, it impacts the airway and breathing. Blockage in airway and breathing is life threatening. Blockage in the trachea and bronchus could be remedied by opening the trachea; but when the blockage is the tissue or cellular level, can you still make the patient breathe?
2. The diseases caused by air pollution are irreversible:
Infectious diseases can be treated by anti microbials, anti biotics;
Other afflictions can be saved by surgery, radiation or chemo therapy
Some can be remedied by exercise and nutrition or even chelation
But can you reverse damage caused by air pollution on your lungs and blood vessels? I doubt. Can you vacuum scrub lungs of the PM that have lodged? How can you remove the PM that cause inflammation in the lungs, blood vessels, heart? I guess there is no way.
So judge for yourself if this hypothesis is true/correct?
This site would like followers and leaders to be aware of air pollution and how it impacts our lives and health. We seem to be uncaring about this growing serious problem which we know is there but we do nothing. Shall we wait for air pollution to be as serious as in Beijing? When do we act?
